President Thomas S. Monson, the 16th worldwide leader of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (also known as the Mormon Church), turns 88 years old on Friday, August 21, 2015. Church members from different parts of the world sent video clips wishing President Monson a happy birthday (The video clip from the Philippines is from 1:12 ~ 1:20).

The members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints believe that God, the eternal Father, still calls prophets and apostles to carry out His work on the earth, which is to bring all of us to His only Begotten son, even Jesus Christ.

Through the infinite love and sacrifice of the Savior, we can all overcome past mistakes, ease the burdens of this world, live to the fullest measure of our potential, and eventually come back into God’s presence and live with our lived ones forever.

For this reason, we are grateful that we have a living prophet today, who can help us to come closer to Christ and His teachings.
