My father died when I was 12 and since then I played the role of a breadwinner. Life was hard growing up as I had to stop schooling and work as a young carpenter. I had younger sisters who rely on my strength and money for our daily needs. Though I struggled financially, I kept praying, stayed active in the church and paid an honest tithe.

When I turned 21, I decided to go on a mission. I was assigned to labor in San Francisco California - Oakland Mission. It was another difficult task for me and I was a bit nervous because my English was not that good. I finished until second year in high school. But I kept moving on and brushing off the negative thoughts in mind. Instead, I focused in serving the Lord and putting my trust in Heavenly Father. Indeed, it was the best two years of my life.

When I returned home, I got married in Cebu Philippines Temple to a beautiful wife who also served a mission. We're blessed with two adorable kids. She advised me to continue pursuing my education. So I did. It was always a tough week working as a carpenter during weekdays and attending school on Saturdays. We always struggled to get enough food and we lived in a place where my children were prone to sickness. Yet, we never failed to miss paying tithing. After much sacrifice, I made it to the end of my high school life.

God really works in mysterious ways. With my work experience in the past, I was blessed with an employment in New Zealand as a carpenter. I have been living here for two years now. I'm still active in the Church and magnified my duties. I'll be graduating BYU Pathway soon and will love to proceed with a degree course.

This is a great opportunity for me to give my family a better life and provide healthy meals for them and live in a healthy environment. When this global pandemic will be over, I will petition my family to live here in New Zealand so we can be together.

I know God's plan is always in a perfect timing if we just have faith in Him. If we trust Him, He will lead us to our eternal goal. I testify that if we honestly and faithfully pay our tithes, He will pour out His blessings upon us that there's no room enough to receive it.

After baptism, all members slip off the pathโ€”some of us even dive off. Therefore, exercising faith in Jesus Christ, repenting, receiving help from Him, and being forgiven are not onetime events but lifelong processes, processes that are repetitive and iterative. This is how we โ€œendure to the end."

Though we are incomplete, God loves us completely. Though we are imperfect, He loves us perfectly.

Trying to comprehend the trials and meaning of this life without understanding Heavenly Fatherโ€™s marvelously encompassing plan of salvation is like trying to understand a three-act play while seeing only the second act.

Fortunately, our knowledge of the Savior, Jesus Christ, and His Atonement helps us to endure our trials and to see purpose in suffering and to trust God for what we cannot comprehend.

When we choose to repent, we choose to change! We allow the Savior to transform us into the best version of ourselves. We choose to grow spiritually and receive joyโ€”the joy of redemption in Him. When we choose to repent, we choose to become more like Jesus Christ!
